Executive Director
Brian Bowles

Brian represents MAOPS at all local, state and federal meetings, as well as with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He also directs legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts. Along with the Association's president, Brian visits osteopathic district affiliates, colleges of osteopathic medicine and postgraduate programs. He serves as the staff liaison to the Association's Executive, Legislative, Leadership Development and Physician Health Committees, as well as various task forces and fast action teams. He is a past president of the Association of Osteopathic State Executive Directors.

Brian has been married to his wife Chris for 25 years. They have four children: Miller, Sam, Elly and Mikaela. When not working, Brian spends his time traveling to his kid's events, reading, hiking, fly fishing and making bamboo fly rods.

Chris wears many hats at MAOPS, serving as the associate executive director, chief financial officer, human resources manager and Missouri Osteopathic Annual Convention coordinator. The MAOPS Central Office team has also dubbed Chris as the "database queen," given her keen ability to make sense out of data and essentially make data magic happen with ease.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her four children, baking, reading and pursuing family activities.

Ashley comes to MAOPS with extensive experience in professional business development and communications training for both the private and public sectors. She is a two-time graduate of William Woods University, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership from Concordia University Chicago.

 

In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures with her husband of 10 years, Mark; and doting on the couple's 10-year-old beagle.                         


Accountant

Janna’s years of experience in various accounting capacities in the private sector have equipped her well to handle the numerous finance, audit and data responsibilities at MAOPS. She graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and has since worked for companies as an accountant, controller, budget analyst and auditing intern.

In Janna’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as watching her two sons, Connor and Parker, play football for Blair Oaks.

Pam Cochran is the coordinator for the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, housed in the MAOPS Central Office. In addition to managing the Society, Pam also assists with Association projects and activities.

Pam enjoys reading, camping, floating and traveling.

 

Leigh Haslag

Leigh joined the team at MAOPS with an extensive background as an executive assistant. Her strong interpersonal and communication skills make her an ideal fit for the organization. Her primary role at MAOPS is to assist the executive director as well as coordinate a variety of projects, including Missouri Osteopathic Medicine Awareness Day, district events and the annual awards program.

In her spare time, Leigh can most often be found spending time with her husband, two children and family. She also enjoys reading, catching up with friends and flexing her culinary skills through attempts at baking "the perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies.”
